James Bond: “You didn't think I'd miss this performance, did you?”

You know that a good 007 movie does not start until you see the amazing opening or the music score that comes with it. Every James Bond film has been recognized for their iconic openings. It has become one of the most famous trademarks of every James Bond film.  Every 007 opening Montague has something unique that sets it apart from the others. Every item there is news of a new 007 movie in the making we know we can expect a new opening scene in the works.  I think it is hard not to think of a specific opening act without the singer of the James Bond theme Song. Paul McCarty performed the opening Song to Live and Let Die perfectly. And I can’t imagine Goldfinger, Diamonds are forever and Moonraker sang by anyone else than Shirley Bassey.  I like the classic theme openings form the Sean Connery film s of James Bond. But my favorite opening would have to be You Know my Name. From the 2006 film Casino Royale. Mostly because I felt there was something new and fresh in the entire opening Montague.  The past Bond films have usually features some silhouette of an attractive girl dancing around with a gun. The Casino Royale Intro had none of this; it focused on the themes of the Daniel Craig being James Bond at the beginning of his career and showed what a 00 agent represent with the clever used of card themes. I like the song recorded by Chris Cornell because even the Lyrics were memorable.  I don’t think I could not recognize a James Bond film without a song called You Know my Name.

A Bond For Every Generation

There have been countless films about James Bond. But every decade brings a new actor to takes his own style in the character.  As the years go on times change so does the times and style of the Bond world. It seems he never ages but in realty every James Bond is special in their particular style. Form the Sean Connery Bond, and the recent Daniel Craig version of the character there is always new spin or look on Bond. But one thing remains for sure and common about the character, his love for fancy drinks and pretty girls. I personally have always liked the classic Sean Connery performance of James Bond.  From what I researched about his performance of James Bond, is that it remained very close to the actual character of the classic novels from Ian Fleming.  I saw his characteristic of Bond as straight face man who is not afraid of danger and does not hesitate to kill his enemies if necessary.  As of modern actor in the franchise, I liked Pierce Brosnan’s performance also because he was the first actor I saw in a James Bond film before the classic films. I think that the current James Bond Actor Daniel Craig is so far one of the best James Bond I have seen in a while. He gives the character of James Bond a trait of realism and makes him look like an average person. He can be heard and he can fall in love. He is no different from anyone else.  He gave a sense of humanity to the character of James Bond that I don’t think I had seen since the early Bond films and that is why I think that Daniel Craig is so far a great James Bond actor next to Sean Connery.
