A couple of days ago a saw a movie trailer for a film called “Battle: Los Angeles”.  The following day I saw a trailer for another movie coming out next week called “Paul”. What did these two movies have in common? Both films are science fictional theme; and being from outer space they come to the planet earth alone or in a group and they can have different characteristics. Sometime the invaders are friendly beings who come to earth for some reason and befriend a human being like in Steven Spielberg’s E.T. Other time time’s invaders are a hostile race who want to destroy us and conquered our planet for their own. Whatever the reason of the Martians coming to earth usually brings the same result the same. The aliens that come to earth and change the order of the thing in the planet. I think it just a common theme that film studio exploit a lot to make more money depending on the subject of interest at that time. I remember back in 2009 the first Twilight Movie came out, and other movie studios started producing film related to vampires.  And a year before in 2008 the superhero movies release at  that time were some of the biggest films expected for that year.I think that the story of an alien invader coming to earth is one of the biggest plot genre that has can be used for the idea of braking the walls of realty and play with the audience imagination. In James Cameron 2009 film Avatar the Aliens coming to earth Formula was change in were we, the humans being were the invader to a an Extraterrestrial culture this film had almost the same idea of life in other planets but was successful  because it showed us that sometimes we are the true invaders in a another world for its resources . The alien formula is not a recent story used in pop culture. Back in 1898 Orson wells used the theme of invading aliens in his Nobel World of the Worlds. The Nobel was one of the first Medias that introduce the idea of Alien invaders.  I think people are attracted to a movie or a book of visitor from another planet because it brings us the idea that we are not truly the only living beings in the universe. Maybe there is life out there watching us. So for now all we can do is think about it. What it about an Alien coming to earth formula story that we find very interesting?
